Capriccio Resaurant
Capriccio is a beautiful Italian restaurant focusing mainly on the northern Italian cuisine located in the downtown area of Providence on Pine Street. This restaurant has been around for ages and has just recently modernized their menu. I highly recommend getting something cooked table side by the head chef Gino. Whether it be the famous "Steak Diane" or the delicious crepe desserts, it is exciting to have your dinner cooked in front of you and the taste is unexplainable. When the restaurant first opened men were required to dress with a black tie dress code. Although they have eased up a little on the dress code, I would still recommend a semi-formal dress. The food is great here, and after the lounge is a large square with comfortable seating and great drinks!

Café Nuovo
Located at One Citizens Plaza in downtown Providence, Café Nuovo's modern cuisine restaurant known for its decadent desserts, is a great place to go to during the Waterfire season. Menu items include mostly Italian and seafood dishes, however with a more modern and contemporary plate design. This is a great place to go on a date, or a friends night out with open windows with a great view of the waterfire right outside. There is also outdoor seating in the summertime. Proper dress is required! I also recommend that you make a reservation if you plan on going during a waterfire, or on the weekend. Also, this restaurant will hold banquets or parties either in the restaurant or in the hall outside of the restaurant. There is valet parking or they will validate parking tickets during the lunch hour. This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. It is very professional and a well-respected restaurant!
